People are often surprised that the same person who tends a quiet druidic practice also runs production studios and business-development work. To me, there is no seam.
The same attention
Producing an event, designing a learning experience, building a business — these are acts of attention. You are listening for the shape a thing wants to take, and then helping it take that shape. It is exactly what I do in the forest, only the material is different.
In the woods, the material is maple and moss and season. In the studio, it is sound and story and human attention. The craft is the same: notice what is actually here, and serve it.
Technology is not the opposite of nature. It is one of the things nature has learned to do.
A bridge, not a wall
I do not experience the modern and the ancient as enemies. I experience them as two hands of the same body. The work is to let them hold the same thing.
